Puncture repair
Picked up a nail or a screw? Tyre keeps going down? Give us a ring or just call in.
Can my tyre be repaired?
It depends where the damage is, how big it is and what state the tyre's in. A small hole in the main tread can often be repaired. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder usually can't, and the tyre will need replaced.
A tyre driven on while flat can be damaged inside, even if it looks fine. It needs to come off the wheel and be looked at properly.
If you get a puncture
- Slow down and stop somewhere safe. Try not to drive on a flat tyre.
- Got a spare? Fit it, or get someone to help. Got a repair kit? Read the handbook first, as some sealants can't be cleaned out of the tyre.
- If there's a nail or screw in the tyre, leave it in. It may be slowing the leak.
If the tyre can't be saved, we can talk you through new tyres.
